The Research Group on Cybersecurity, Networks, and Information Systems (GIBERSIS) emerges as an academic and scientific initiative of the School of Systems Engineering, aimed at developing innovative and sustainable solutions in three key areas: information security, information systems, and network infrastructure. Its purpose is to generate applied knowledge that addresses the current challenges of digital transformation, fostering the improvement of technological processes in public, private, and community institutions. GIBERSIS seeks to develop research focused on cybersecurity, information systems, and networks to solve real-world problems with an innovative and socially responsible approach. In alignment with the institutional research lines and the actions of University Social Responsibility (USR), the group contributes to technological and social development through responsible innovation, digital inclusion, ethical training, and community engagement — thereby promoting a secure, accessible, and socially committed digital transformation for collective well-being.
