Organization profile

Organization profile

Our research will be focused on topics related to environmental and agroindustrial biotechnology, where we will investigate microorganisms and plants with biotechnological potential from various natural sources (water, soil, and flora). Also, the research we conduct aims to contribute to sustainable objectives regarding climate action, health, and well-being. On the other hand, we will research and develop microorganisms and technologies that enable the utilization of agroindustrial wastes with the goal of incorporating them into a circular economy.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  • SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being
  • SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy
  • SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production
  • SDG 13 - Climate Action
