The gi – icamb develops its activities according to rcu n°200-2018-ucv research lines, in the area of engineering and technology, sub-area of environmental engineering, and has the following general lines of research: biodiversity, climate change, and environmental quality, biotechnology. Icamb investigates the effects, adaptation, and mitigation of climate change on the environment, biodiversity, and humans. It develops air quality prediction models and models for environmental pollution. Icamb develops biorefinery solutions, waste transformation for soil, water, and air remediation. Icamb utilizes technology (including biotechnology and nanotechnology among others) to address environmental problems. Icamb conducts environmental monitoring to assess the quality status for the conservation of natural resources and human health. Icamb researches the bioremediation of environmental components and investigates clean and affordable energy production while responding in an inclusive manner to gender, social, and cultural diversity.
