Organization profile

The mental health and alternative medicine group (SAMI) is located within the area of medical and health sciences, and includes lines of research on mental health and non-communicable diseases. its purpose is to research mental health issues that affect the population such as stress, anxiety and depression, among others; for which basic and applied research will be carried out, either in the general or clinical population. The research to be developed is of a transdisciplinary nature in conjunction with other universities, also testing new alternative solutions such as the application of natural products or other types of complementary and alternative medicine methods.
