Environmental Management and Sustainable Development is a research group whose purpose is to carry out projects framed within the guidelines of sustainable management. Its main objective is to analyze current environmental issues and generate knowledge to help reduce the existing knowledge gap in today’s society.
The importance of creating this research group lies in the explicit intention to contribute to society and the scientific community through the publication of scientific outputs—such as articles, books, book chapters, patents, and others—providing current and validated data on environmental problems at both national and international levels.
The research areas covered by this group will include, though not exclusively, the following:
Quality and management of natural resources, and
Risk management and climate change adaptation.
Furthermore, in alignment with the guidelines established in the 2030 Agenda, the group will address SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Finally, following the standards established by César Vallejo University (UCV), the group is aligned with the following lines of action of University Social Responsibility (USR):
04: Sustainable development and climate change adaptation, corresponding respectively to lines 1 and 2.
