Abstract
The objective of the study was to analyze the perspectives and experiences of mothers and teachers who participated in the education of preschoolers after the pandemic. The design was qualitative descriptive; eight teachers and nine mothers of preschool children from two public schools in Lima-Peru participated. Verbal data were collected through the interview guide. Five subcategories were identified: teaching methodology, concerns and expectations, children’s adaptation, effect on socioemotional development, and learning. It is concluded that the pandemic has had a negative impact on the well-being, socioemotional development and learning of preschool children. Consequently, it is necessary to strengthen the educational strategies of teachers and promote active cooperation between families and early childhood educational institutions to ensure the full development of children in the post-pandemic context.
