Abstract
The desire to understand different areas of human knowledge allows the scientific method to help transform problems into actionable proposals that make a significant contribution to their solution. The objective of this work is to determine the student investigative skills during the pandemic, specifying the factors associated with their achievement. The method used is basic, positivist paradigm, quantitative approach, non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional design. The non-probabilistic convenience sample consisted of 134 students from the last cycle of five master’s programs. The data was collected with the survey, supported by the investigative competence questionnaire. To identify the factors associated with the achievement of the competence, the Chi Square test was applied. The research showed that the factors gender, age and master’s degree are associated with the achievement of investigative competence in the study participants.
