Abstract

The development of the digital competences for teachers allows the proper use of the ICT to transform it into learning mediation tools and to contribute for improving their pedagogic performance. In this sense, the objective of the research was to determine the relationship between digital skills and teaching performance at “Pachitea UGEL”, 2020. It is a quantitative approach study, non-experimental, descriptive correlational type with a cross-sectional design, the reliability of the instruments has been made through the Cronbach’s Alpha, obtaining 0.968 and 0.966 for the digital questionnaire competence and the teaching performance, respectively. The study population was constituted for 55 teachers to whom were applied two questionnaires, one for each variable. The results indicate that 60% of teachers have a high level of digital skills and 75% of them show a high level of teaching performance, it was established a relationship between the variables through Rho’s coefficient of correlation by Spearman (Rho = 0.748 and p <0.01). It concludes that there is a significant high positive relationship (p <0.01) between the digital competence and teaching performance at “Pachitea UGEL”, 2020.
