    Abstract

This scientific doctoral work studies The Creative Economy to know if the adoption of this approach allows the economic development of a country, understanding that its attractiveness lies in the generation of the value of these creative industries, and if the application of this approach generates an opportunity to overcome the ravages of covid-19. In this sense, the question that motivated this research is: Is the Creative Economy the way to generate a post covid-19 economic development in Latin America? Methodologically, in this basic research, a systematization of the related economic theories was made to find common elements, in addition to a literature review of Scopus, academic Google and IDB sources, and a characterization of these approaches until the year 2022, concludes that their application involves adopting an intensive digital strategy in the sectors referred to art, design, video games, films and crafts, because they carry with them an intangible symbolic value that exceeds their use value, although a series of aspects that are detailed in this scientific study must be considered.
