Abstract

The health of pregnant women is one of the priority axes of public health. The objective of the research is to analyze the epidemiological surveillance and care of pregnant women with Covid-19 in the health system based on a systematic review. The methodology used refers to a systematic review, descriptive qualitative approach. In the analyzed studies, there was a total of 1,009 pregnant women with 100% positive results for Sars-Cov 2 by PCR test, of which only 7.23% received prenatal control, vertical transmission was found in 1.39% followed by obstetric complications mostly such as preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes and pre-term delivery; there was a predominance of caesarean sections at 37%. Vertical transmission occurred in only 28 of a total of 1,009 newborns, whose epidemiological link is associated with direct contact with the mother. It is concluded that epidemiological surveillance was insufficient for pregnant women with Covid-19; the mortality rate was not higher than that estimated for non-pregnant women; and there is no vertical transmission.
