Abstract

Eating disorders (TCA) are conditions that, in recent years, have been increasing due to social and family factors, among which unhealthy behaviors and habits are perpetuated for young people since they tend to be the most affected. This research seeks to measure the impact of dissemination strategies on the level of knowledge of the population about eating disorders in young people from Trujillo, 2023. For this, the sample used was 276 students of the V cycle of the psychology career and human medicine from César Vallejo University, to which a questionnaire and a survey were provided, which evaluated the dissemination methods used and the knowledge of the problem acquired from them. After the application, all the data obtained were organized in an Excel spreadsheet, in which, later, the results were processed and analyzed, allowing to obtain statistical tables and graphs, which made it possible to show that 58.7% use the media too infrequently to learn about ACTs; however, 76.4% show a high level of knowledge about this topic. Finally, the results were obtained, and it was concluded that although adolescents frequently use the media for their daily activities, they do not usually learn about EDs through them, even when this problem has a significant impact on them people in your age range.
