Abstract
The purpose of the article was to carry out a systematic review of the literature on the influence of video games on social skills, where 4 research questions were proposed and 17 articles that met the exclusion and quality criteria were selected. The results obtained showed that social skills were 80% measured through questionnaires; In addition, video games did not affect one gender more than another in their social skills despite the fact that 71.43% of the studies presented a majority of men, for 69.23% they positively influenced their development and 83.33% of studies, videogames were used as a specialized tool for the development of these.
