Abstract

This cross-sectional descriptive quantitative study diagnoses the competencies in information and communication technologies (ICTs) of university students entering different universities in Lambayeque, Peru. Using a non-experimental design, the perception that students have regarding the management of their ICT competencies is determined. The findings showed that most students considered themselves not entirely competent with respect to the knowledge and use of computer tools, hence the need to forge these skills for information management and knowledge management.
