N2 - The objective of this article was to establish whether there is a significant and linear correlation between work skills and technical knowledge among the students of the Faculty of Science and Engineering from the University of Sciences and Humanities (UCH) who did their pre-professional practices during the second semester of the academic year 2019. For this study, we have interviewed the supervisors of the pre-professional practices. A descriptive correlational and transversal design for this work was used. Two surveys were used as an instrument of data collection: one to measure the degree of labor skills and the other to measure the degree of technical knowledge in the professional career. The instrument to measure the degree of labor skillss passed the validity test with a KMO value of 0.767 and one sig. of 0.000 and passed as well the reliability test with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.956. The instrument to measure the degree of specialized knowledge passed the validity test with a KMO value of 0.760 and one sig. of 0.000 and passed the reliability test with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.883. Finally, we concluded by using the Pearson's correlation coefficient, that there is no correlation between the study variables as there is no degree of significance.
