N2 - One of the wastes from the soybean oil industry is tonsil soil. Thus, in this research work, the behavior of these industrial wastes in agriculture was evaluated. For this purpose, an experimental work was carried out with the sowing of Lactuca sativa using different doses of tonsil soil (10, 15, 20 and 25%), evaluating which of these doses is more adequate to obtain a better production. It was determined that tonsil soil favorably affects soil suitability, and consequently improves the yield of Lactuca sativa. It was evidenced that the tonsil soil dose of 10% is adequate to improve the physicochemical parameters of the cultivation soil such as phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and cation exchange capacity (CEC). Finally, it is concluded that tonsil soil is a favorable alternative to improve the suitability of soils that could be used for the cultivation of Lactuca sativa.
