Abstract

Systematic review research aims to capture the impact of video games in educational institutions, as the main point focusing on school performance. For this purpose, 4 main research questions were asked with a PRISMA methodology, forthe development of which a search of 30 articles was carried out,following the required rules of exclusion and inclusion. The terminations presented that serious video games are didactic instruments apt to measure school learning profiles, benefiting in social experiences as well as in problem solving and communication thinking; also, in the main genres for serious or educational video games, finally, it was established the success ofusing serious video games and that these can be used to improveschool performance.
