Uso del Software Pecano y el Proceso de Ventas: Un Estudio de Caso en una Estación de Servicios de Trujillo – Perú

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the use of Pecano software and the sales process of the Kalin service station in Trujillo in 2023. A quantitative approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional correlational design were used. Data were collected using 5 observation forms, and the population consisted of every record related to the study variables, totaling 595,069 records generated at the service station over one year from February 7, 2022, to February 5, 2023. The results obtained for the degree of Pecano software usage in its two indicators, Increase in issued receipts and Sales billing volume, were 53.85% and 57.69%, respectively, lower than their averages, indicating that there was not much increase in volume. Regarding the effectiveness of the sales process in relation to its first and second indicators, Sales billing effectiveness and Credit sales increase, it was found that 65.38% and 50% were higher than the average, respectively. However, the third indicator, Increase in customers, was 59.62%, lower than the average, meaning that the evaluated indicators are contributing to good performance in the sales process. With the support of the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test, it is concluded that there is no correlation between the variables of Pecano software usage and the sales process of the service station.
