Resumen

The proposed objective of this research was to explain how mobbing can become a predictor of depression in the Mype sector in the Piura-Peru region. To achieve this objective, a quantitative approach was used, employing mathematical methods to obtain the results, supported by a structural equation model-SEM, in which 379 companies participated (among owners, administrators and/or managers). The data were loaded into SPSS (for descriptive analysis) and Smartpls (SEM modeling), whose statistical results indicated that the tests of normality, reliability, validity (discriminant, convergent) and variance tests, have responded in a singular way (satisfactorily) to the approach of the study, concluding that mobbing behaves favorably as a predictive element of depression, i.e., the modeling based on structural equations responds satisfactorily with the researcher’s position.
