N2 - The Peruvian fishing sector in recent decades is considered an important driver of the economy, with the timely research is proposed to determine the behavior of exports of the Peruvian fishing sector, through the analysis of the diversification of its destination markets and exporting companies during 2000 to 2022. In terms of methodology, the research was basic, quantitative, and descriptive, with a cross-sectional, non-experimental design. The method of documentary review was used as the instrument to collect data on target markets and exporting companies in the fishing sector registered with SUNAT over a 22-year period from 2000. For the evaluation of diversification, an indicator titled the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI) was utilized.
