N2 - The present research has the mission to show to what extent the Wage Gap impacts the Human Development Index in Peru during the years 2010 to 2020, since it is essential to know the level of development that a country has and how the wage gap affects it. The type of this research is applied, non-experimental design, analytical deductive method, inductive, synthetic; also, with a quantitative approach, the data of the gender wage gap and HDI data in Peru is considered as the population to be studied, as a sample the data of the wage gap and HDI data for the years 2010 to 2020 is used. In addition, a documentary analysis was made as a data collection technique, where it was found that the impact of the Wage Gap on the HDI is 43.59 with a significance of 0.027. As a conclusion, it is noted that the Wage Gap has a direct impact on the HDI since the greater the gap, the greater the impact it has on the HDI; likewise, when the wage gap increases, human development is negatively affected since it cannot increase.
