N2 - The present study will focus on analyzing the characteristics associated with parents' acceptance of their children's return to in-person classes during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on parents' perception that sending their children to school physically may have consequences such as contracting the virus. This is because when students come into contact with other students or their teachers, they are exposed to a risk of contagion. The study, designed as non-experimental and with a quantitative approach, is correlational, prospective, and cross-sectional in scope. Data collection was carried out using a survey as the data collection technique, with a 30-item questionnaire administered virtually. The questionnaire was validated by five experts and showed a reliability of 0.82. The main results indicate that, among the analyzed characteristics, the only variable associated with the acceptance of the return to in-person classes is the number of children. Parents report that their younger children have experienced physical and psychological problems due to virtual learning, such as developmental delays, accidents at home, and some being diagnosed by a doctor with aggressiveness and irritability.
