Resumen

The objective of this study was to create and validate a questionnaire to measure digital fatigue in Peruvian university students, due to the growing concern or excessive use of technologies and continuous exposure to screens. We worked with 591 students selected by convenience. The questionnaire is composed of 24 questions that are examined in four dimensions: physical, cognitive, emotional and social, and was reviewed by ten experts. Statistical techniques such as factor analysis, average variance explained, factor invariance by gender and reliability analysis were used. The results showed structural validity, convergent validity, and invariance in its application in men and women. Reliability was evaluated with the omega and Cronbach coefficients, obtaining values above 0.80. Among the main contributions, a valid and reliable tool was developed to evaluate digital fatigue along with recommendations to mitigate its effects, such as better management of time in front of screens and the promotion of healthy habits in university student life.
