N2 - The diversification of canned asparagus exports reveals the importance of this product both economically and gastronomically, therefore, it constitutes a multidimensional problem in the field of international trade. In Peru, the problem is manifested in the need to identify and access new markets to guarantee greater stability and resilience in the face of market fluctuations, taking advantage of the productive potential and the quality of the national offer. Therefore, the analysis of the diversification of exports of canned asparagus in the period 2013-2022 has been carried out in this work, through basic research with a quantitative approach, of a non-experimental, descriptive design based on the documentary analysis through data extracted through the portal of the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration. This analysis reveals that there is a decrease in weight from 47.7 thousand tons in 2013 to 29.7 thousand tons in 2017, and in FOB value from 150.1 million USD to 99.3 million USD, also that there is a growing concentration in export markets and shows us a decrease in the number of companies that export, which could be indicative of business consolidation. Therefore, export diversification could represent an economic strategy to mitigate these risks and promote long-term economic resilience. Taking this into account, it is recommended to strengthen the competitiveness of exporting companies, product diversification and quality. The exploration of new markets would also help diversify importing countries, thus reducing dependence on specific markets.
