Resumen

The present research entitled "Financial education and its impact on the personal finances of teachers in an educational institution", had the objective of knowing the impact between the two variables, financial education to improve personal finances, was of non-experimental design, because it was established without modifying the variables and the data collected were used to be observed and to distinguish the impact. Likewise, it was cross-sectional because the information was collected at a single point in time. In addition, it had a quantitative approach of correlational level because the validity of a relationship between the variables is proposed, for this purpose a population and sample of 45 teachers was taken, to whom a survey was applied, with a total of 28 questions in total, which were later processed in statistical programs, obtaining as results that the great majority of the teachers did not know how to plan their income adequately, likewise their credit situation was regular, they do not manage their budget adequately and many of them did not have saving habits.
