The aim of this study was to determine the influence of a mindfulness-based program on the academic stress levels of university students. A quasi-experimental, pre-test and post-test study was carried out, with a sample of 96 students, divided into an experimental group and a control group. For the measurement of academic stress levels, the SISCO Inventory of Academic Stress was used. The levels of academic stress decreased in the experimental group, after the intervention, finding statistical significance (p <0.05) in the results. Cohen’s D scores were higher than 1.5, evidencing the effectiveness of the program.
