N2 - Education in Peru is increasingly showing better prospects, particularly due to the potential income to be earned. This research aims to determine the level of higher education among young people aged 17 to 24 in Peru from 2010 to 2021. To this end, we used data from INEI on higher education enrolments among young people, conducting a basic, quantitative, descriptive, and non-experimental investigation. It was concluded that there is an enrolment growth for both males at 1.5% and females at 2.3%, with females showing more interest in pursuing higher education. Rural enrolment is lower compared to urban areas, where urban enrolment doubles that of the rural areas. Higher education enrolments are similar at the coast and in the mountains, while in the jungle they are lower, representing half compared to the other regions.
