N2 - The city of Cuenca-Ecuador, is recognized as a city where large industries come together that promote products and services to satisfy demands in different economic sectors. Flat ceramic companies are concentrated in this town, and they represent the third manufacturing activity in the Azuay canton, so their study is attractive in times of restrictions and economic contraction, as a result of the health situation presented by COVID-19. In this sense, the objective of the research is to build forgotten effects matrices as a technique for the economic reactivation of companies in the ceramic sector in Ecuador. It is a descriptiveanalytical type of research, with a quantitative approach, assuming the census of a finite population, represented by four ceramic companies located in Cuenca-Ecuador. The forgotten effects matrix was applied as a technique that allows finding the hidden variable, reducing risks that lead to the economic reactivation of these organizations. As a result, they specify the urgency of strengthening biosafety in the work environment, so that production is progressively increased in these companies in pandemic contexts. The actions and decisions undertaken will allow managers to find the right path that strengthens decision-making and guides better business management.
