Resumen

Currently, Peru is going through a social problem such as violence against women, which results in a delay in the development of the country, in the economy, deterioration of health, physical and psychological, and in the educational field, without measuring The consequences. The purpose of the study was to determine, through Structural Equations with Partial Least Squares, the social impact of attitudes towards violence against women in students of university institutions. The sample was 979 students from public and private universities in Chimbote-Peru. The result indicates that violence against women directly impacts morbidity (Beta= 0.263, p <.001), and through it on academic presenteeism (explaining 35% of its variation). Vicarious experiences during childhood directly impact violence against women (Beta= -0.129, p <.001) as well as implicit attitudes (Beta= -0.145, p <.001). Regarding the attitudes of implicit acceptance, they directly impact the violent behaviors of students in their relationships (Beta=0.142, p <.00). It is concluded that the explicit and implicit attitude, as well as childhood exposure, are directional predictors of violence against women.
