Incremento de la rentabilidad de una empresa del sector calzado en Trujillo mediante una propuesta de mejora en las áreas de producción y logística

The objective of this research is to increase profitability by applying methodologies of tactical operations management, method engineering, maintenance management and logistics management in a company in the footwear sector. The purpose was to identify and select the causes that generate cost overruns in the production and logistics line, analyze the root causes, establish goals, schedule and apply solutions; Likewise, determine the costs and the impact on the profitability of the company in the footwear sector. A pre-experimental design was applied, in addition, the Materials Requirements Planning, Preventive Maintenance Plan methodology was used, as well as logistics tools such as ABC Classification, Coding, Kardex and Supplier Evaluation. Finally, the economic evaluation was carried out, taking into account the savings generated, as well as the costs of developing the proposal, achieving an NPV of S/ 12131.23, an IRR = 82% and a B/C ratio of 1.20. This demonstrates the reduction of costs in both the logistics and production areas and the viability of the project from an economic point of view.
