Resumen
The objective of the article was to carry out a systematic review of the literature on the influence of video games on depression, for which 510 articles were filtered using the PRISMA methodology, of which 13 met the inclusion, exclusion and quality criteria, obtaining that 71.42% of these, demonstrated the positive aspects that videogames have in the treatment of depression, it was also identified that the most effective genres are: adventure with 50%, Puzzle 30% and 20% others, also identified which are the most used devices among the main ones are: smart cell phones with 75% and computers and consoles with 12.50% each, finally, 23% of these demonstrated that video games serve as a tool for the treatment of depression, anxiety, etc.
