Resumen
Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in the contemporary world, significantly impacting the way we make decisions in a wide range of areas. In the business arena, AI has become an invaluable tool for optimizing operational efficiency and improving accuracy in strategic decision-making. The use of AI in decision-making raises questions about the transparency of algorithms, fairness in access to opportunities, and accountability in the event of erroneous or biased decisions. The purpose of this research is to examine how AI is transforming decision-making processes in Peruvian SMEs. The results suggest a largely positive perception towards AI, highlighting its ability to offer personalized recommendations, adapt and improve over time, as well as identify and mitigate biases. It is crucial to address key challenges, such as interpretation of results, transparency of models, and accountability in automated decisions, to ensure ethical and effective implementation of AI in different contexts.
