Resumen
Efficient search and access to mechanical workshops have posed significant challenges in the city of Trujillo, Peru. Current methods can be inefficient and frustrating, leading to unnecessary delays and sometimes wasted time when workshop availability is not found. This paper introduces “Maskay,” an innovative mobile application designed to streamline the process of searching for and accessing mechanical workshops. Maskay is designed with the aim of minimizing search time, enhancing user efficiency in locating mechanical workshops, and ultimately improving overall customer satisfaction. The Mobile-D methodology was followed for its development, a five-phase process (Exploration, Initialization, Production, Stabilization, and Testing) that places a strong emphasis on constant user interaction. This approach allows for timely detection and correction of any errors or issues that might arise during development. Results from the implementation of Maskay indicate a significant reduction in access time, an increase in the number of workshop searches, and an enhancement in customer satisfaction. In summary, Maskay provides an effective and efficient solution to overcome current challenges related to locating and accessing mechanical workshops in Trujillo and has the potential to be applied to other regions with similar challenges.
