    Resumen

    The scientific and technological advancement resulting from globalization led industrial companies to seek greater quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and technological advancements in their processes, as well as in the delivery of their products and services, in order to meet international standards and become more competitive. Steel companies have been evolving, and steel manufacturing is a key part of the country's economic growth. Through a high-level technological process, steel mills play a central role in this steel renaissance. Following a hot mechanical deformation process, construction bars are obtained, which are used in the manufacturing of buildings, transportation bridges, infrastructure, among other things. Within the process, premature wear of the rolling mill cylinder channels was identified, causing daily stops for channel changes in the rolling mill box. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the cooling system to prolong the lifespan of the rolling mill cylinders, improve productivity, reduce downtime, minimize unsafe conditions for employees, and reduce water resource wastage.
