N2 - The presence of plastic on the beaches has generated that over time they degrade into particles of 5 to 1 mm, known as microplastics, in fact, being of micro size they can be ingested by different organisms, causing a highly worrying panorama for life. Therefore, the objective was to determine the significant difference in the presence of microplastics in quantity and weight in supralitoral and litoral zone of six beaches in La Libertad. For this, a quantitative approach was used and the type of research was descriptive, applied, cross-sectional, prospective, observational and non-experimental, the method used was inductive - deductive through ANOVA Statgraphics and Minitab, the technique was data collection and the. The instruments were the data collection sheets and the observation guides. According to the results with a significance level of 5%, the effect of the beach factor, the effect of the Zone (litoral and supralittoral) and the interaction of both effects are significant for the factorial model, since all the p-values (0.000) are less than 5. %, so it is concluded by stating that there are significant differences in the quantity and weight of microplastics found on the 6 beaches.
