N2 - This systematic review characterizes the scientific literature on medical students' satisfaction with online education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The PRISMA Statement is followed, and the search is conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed databases. The review is conducted independently by each author to minimize potential bias and by considering the same inclusion and exclusion criteria. As a result, a total of 14 articles published between the years 2020 and 2023 are included, involving 2580 medical students. The results show that despite students being satisfied with online education, they believe that certain activities should be conducted in person. It is concluded that future physicians experience moderate to high levels of satisfaction, which is associated with factors related to the student, the instructor, the course, and the academic management of virtual environments.
