N2 - This research investigates the role of digital transformation in enhancing strategic financial planning within the public sector in the Peruvian Amazon, focusing on its potential to drive modernization and efficiency in public administration. Using a quantitative, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design, data were collected from 95 employees in a public sector entity through a Likert-scale questionnaire. Results show a positive but modest correlation between digital transformation and strategic financial planning (R = 0.169, R2 = 0.029), with ANOVA confirming statistical significance (F = 4.330, p = 0.021). These findings suggest that digital transformation has a limited impact on strategic financial planning, although it does highlight key areas for development. Staff digital competencies and citizen engagement emerge as pivotal factors in this process, reinforcing the importance of investing in digital skills and fostering public involvement for improved financial management. Most institutions in the region are at a moderate level of digital adoption, particularly in innovation and sustainability, though further progress is needed to implement advanced financial strategies. This study emphasizes the necessity of ongoing investments in technology and training to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of public administration. Expanding future research to include other geographic regions, along with additional variables such as continuous training and change management, would provide a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing strategic financial planning. Such an approach would allow for broader applications of these findings, contributing valuable insights for other regions and contexts in public sector transformation.
