N2 - Faced with the global hydrological crisis, the generation of more than 80% of the wastewater discharged into the ecosystem without prior treatment is a serious problem. The research focused on the treatment of wastewater that comes from the domestic activities of an urban housing complex, the same ones that presented organic compounds such as: fats, proteins, blood, urine and feces that imply high values of biological oxygen demand. (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) and fecal coliforms. There are several methods to treat this wastewater; however, the research accounts for the treatment of domestic wastewater through the hydrocavitation and ozone dynamic (HCD-O3) system. The results indicated that it was 100% efficient for the reduction of fecal coliforms after 80 minutes of treatment, while other physicochemical parameters such as oils and fats, BOD and COD were less efficient. The method turns out to be an alternative with environmental advantages by not using chemical products, as well as being easy to implement.
