N2 - The present research aimed to analyze the level of efficiency of different modeling techniques used in a non-relational database between the years 2015 to 2021. Four specific databases such as Scopus, IEEE Xplore, Ebsco and SciencieDirect were considered for the search of scientific articles. In general terms, 45 original articles were identified according to the research title, each of them was evaluated according to the exclusion criteria resulting in the discarding of 35 articles. Consequently, 10 scientific articles were part of the source of information for this research, and an exhaustive and detailed review was made of what was written by each author in relation to the study variables. In conclusion, it can be pointed out that, due to the increasing volume of information that is continuously generated around the world, there is a need to create new non-traditional structures to store it and although several authors have agreed that there are several ways to do it, unfortunately, there have not been developed enough modeling techniques for a non-relational database.
