Resumen

The article was developed with the purpose of improving the reading comprehension of the fourth-grade students of the educational institution The Divine Master of the city of Cartavio, through an intelligent tutor with augmented reality. The Mobile-D methodology was used for its development, making use of the exploration, initiation, product and testing phases. The programming language used to develop the software was Kotlin, as well as Google Firebase, DialogFlow and ARcore services. The results obtained after the implementation of the intelligent tutor with augmented reality, were an increase of 50% in terms of interest in reading, in the same way with 46.2% referring to the reception of reading comprehension information and 69.3% regarding the percentage of students who perform reading comprehension tasks correctly.
